Gonzaga ist im Wesentlichen bekannt für seine Tätigkeit im diplomatischen Dient und als Botschafter von Kaiser Karl V., 1519 - 1556. Für die vorliegende Medaille wurde auch eine Urheberschaft des Leone Leoni vorgeschlagen, doch scheint dies durch Kopplungen mit von Trezzo signierten Rückseiten widerlegt zu sein. Gonzaga is mainly known for his work in the diplomatic service and as ambassador of Emperor Charles V, 1519 - 1556. For this medal, the authorship of Leone Leoni has also been suggested, but this seems to be refuted by combinations with reverses signed by Trezzo.
