Einseitiges Pressblech: Der nimbierte Evangelist mit wehendem Gewand sitzt nach rechts in einer Landschaft mit Bäumen und blickt zum Himmel auf. Er hält in der Linken eine Schreibtafel und führt mit der Rechten die Feder, links vor ihm ein Adler, in den Wolken das apokalyptische Weib. Rechteckig ca. 121 x 195 mm. Weber, Seite 229, 444/4. Wohl originale Fertigung / Probably original pieces. Vorzüglich / Extremely fine. Schwarze Patina, zweifach gelocht / Black patina, twice pierced.
Das vorliegende Stück entstammt einer vierteiligen Serie auf die Evangelisten, deren weitere drei Teile ebenfalls im Rahmen dieser Auktion angeboten werden.
